Open Day 2009
Our 2009 open day was held on Sunday 21st June at Long Melford Village Hall, near Sudbury to give people an insight
into what the club is all about. Being Fathers' day, it provided an ideal way for the children to treat Dad.

Layouts & Stands
This year we had six members' layouts on display and one club layout, which were in various stages of construction, including:
- Acton Lane - a 00 gauge layout by students at All Saints Middle School in Sudbury
- Ambridge - a 00 gauge layout by Chris Martin
- A 00 gauge layout and collection of rolling stock by Andy
- A 00 gauge layout by Paul Sumption
- Stanton Lacy - A 7mm narrow gauge layout by Norman
- Stanham Quay - the club's new 00 gauge layout

Club members were also demonstrating different aspects of the hobby. Phil Cooper of Sudbury Model Railways was present with his trade
stand and Bill Bourne displayed his collection of tinplate lorries.
